WELCOME TO REIGATE ANTIQUE SOCIETY
Est. 1962
Monthly meetings that celebrate 100+ years ago. Guest speakers share their antique knowledge, collections, memorabilia and insights into days gone by
About Us
Our Society has a membership of about 100 people with wide ranging backgrounds and interests, drawn from Reigate and surrounding areas.
Monthly meetings centre around a talk by a guest expert. There is also the opportunity to socialise with members and the speaker before the formalities and again during a coffee break.
In September 1962, Bevis Hillier gave a series of ‘one off' antique lectures at what was then known as the County School for Girls, Reigate, and subsequently his parents, Jack and Mary, continued to host meetings at members' homes. They called themselves The Antique Collectors' Society which, after dropping the word “Collectors” from the name at the end of 2015, is today one of the oldest Antique Societies in the country.

For over 50 years we have attracted a fantastic variety of guest speakers talking on a wide range of subjects in the antiques arena.
With Antique programmes continuing to be popular on television and many experts becoming household names we are pleased to have been able to welcome many of their experts such as Eric Knowles, Mark Hill, Judith Miller and Andy McConnell to our meetings. This year we will be meeting three such celebrities in John Benjamin, Ronnie Archer Morgan and our good friend Eric Knowles
